Edgar McConnell — Founder & Lead Consultant
Ed is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent with 22 years of investigative, training, liaison, and tactical experience — including 7 years on the FBI SWAT team in San Francisco and 5 years as Assistant Team Leader for the Sniper Team.
A FBI-certified Crisis Management Coordinator (CMC), Ed served as primary CMC for site security at Super Bowl 50 at Levi Stadium — coordinating security at one of the world’s largest public events.
From 2018–2021, Ed served as Legat and Assistant Legat for the FBI at the US Embassy in Bangkok, where he initiated the FBI’s first Active Shooter tactical training for the Royal Thai Police in Thailand.
He founded SSI to bring that level of expertise directly to schools and organizations across Southeast Asia.
